For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Our desire at Bethel Bible Church is to provide weekly Bible studies for men and women of all ages in order to:

1. Equip and train in righteousness

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. -2 Timothy 3:16-17

2. Stimulate one another in love and good deeds

And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds. -Hebrews 10:25

3. Assemble together and encourage one another

[let us] not forsake our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encourage {one another;} and all the more as you see the day drawing near. -Hebrews 10:26

Inductive Bible Study Method

At Bethel Bible Church, we use an investigative method to examine and discover what God tells us through His Word. The Inductive Bible Study method includes observing, interpreting, and applying the Word of God in order to produce transformed people living victorious lives in Christ by the Holy Spirit for the glory of God.

There are three steps to Inductive Bible Study (taken from www.precept.org):

1. Observation

Specially designed skills for busy lives in an age of speed, noise and endless distractions, the inductive study method will help you slow down to focus on God’s Word, and see what it really says.

2. Interpretation

Careful observation enables students to discover what the text means in its context. Since the Bible is its own best interpreter, the more accurate your observation, the greater will be your understanding of God’s Word.

3. Application

The Creator and Author of life has shown us how to live a satisfying, eternally significant life. Intentional, disciplined observation and interpretation leads you to the profoundly applicable Truth of the Bible. Without application, Bible study can become “knowledge that puffs up” or doctrinally shallow anecdotes. Our goal is changing lives by connecting people with Christ.
