Biblical Counseling

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. Declare these things, exhort and rebuke with all authority.  Let no one disregard you. –Titus 2:11-15

All of the counseling done at Bethel Bible Church is based solely on the Word of God.  God’s Word is the final authority on everyone and everything with which every soul will be judged.  Bethel Bible Church offers Biblical counseling sessions that concentrate on the individual’s specific needs in order to:

1. Promote spiritual growth by training and admonishing with Scripture

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. -2 Timothy 3:16-17

2. Help others to love God and their neighbor

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. -John 13:34

“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. -Deuteronomy 6:5

3. Offer comfort

Blessed {be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. -2 Corinthians 1:3-4

4. Restore individuals and families to right relationships with the Lord

If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. -2 Chronicles 7:14

5. Advise and encourage individuals to pursue pleasure and joy in Christ

You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever. -Psalm 16:11
